Quote of the Month: Sha Money XL ~ Executive Director of G-Unit Production House & G-Unit Records

    Sha Money XL

Sha Money XL: “Stay persistent, but do a real search on yourself! Really, don’t just ask your friends if your hot, ask people that don’t know you if your good. You got people that are wasting there whole lives, years and their still rapping, their 30 something and still trying to make it into the industry and they’ve been in it since they were 18 and their still wondering why no one gave them a break.

No one really probably told them that they are wack, so you got to really play you sh*t for everybody, be in every place you can be, be at every conference, every concert, get your music out to everyone so that you can know if your good, you know. Bottom line is this, when I was a rapper when I was like 17 years old, I was getting hit by so many people with “Sha I don’t know about this, but I like the beat.” So you have to hear that, you have to listen to that, you don’t want to waste your whole life when you could be going to school doing something else getting your career on. You need to follow what’s your really calling and not just a dream.”

Questionable Manner & Unethical Practice – DJsUnity Bogus DJ Certification of Attendance which claims to be approved by MDA, M.O.E & RANE corporation (Serato Scratch Live)

This is the reason why we never gave out certification of attendance despite Singapore being a very certification obsessed nation.

We believe that teaching people of all ages to be a DJ is great fun & enriching, just like how may you teach someone to play a good game of Tennis but that doesn’t he/she can join the ATP tour as a Tennis professional. Whether you take the time & the next step to enhance your craft into a enriching past-time or bring it to the next step as a profession & career is seriously up to you to make it happen.

No amount of DJ certification, conducted by reputatable club DJs, or DJ graduation, with celebrity radio host or club DJs giving you your certification, will have your potential be recognized or be known.

It is up to you to make yourself who you are as a DJ as well as how seriously you regard your passion.

I am greatly disgusted by this sort of unethical practice of charging such an expensive enrichment class to deceive students to enroll but only to leave them fuming with a useless piece of paper, which is not even a Diploma & Degree, let alone have the audacity to claim these bogus certificates of attendance is endorsed & recognized by the instructor, M.O.E, a renowned local club, the Media Development Authority and Rane Corporation (Serato Scratch Live).

When their unethical practice is being discovered, these dishonest people placed so many terms & conditions as well as disclaimers on their website to hide their dirty deed by saying they have no involvement or relationship to the courses conducted by them when their website still shamelessly shows off their DJ graduations as well as some website showing and exposing their obvious dirty deeds.

This sort of dishonest practice should not have a place in Singapore’s DJing industry and entertainment circle. But then again don’t take my word for it. Check out one blogger’s observation of this matter.
